No Water with DiFi Bill
David Murillo testified yesterday in Washington D.C. that Feinstein's bill would not increase water deliveries from pumping.
Feb 25, 2016
We told you in our February 11 newsletter 'Lucy Pulls the Football, Again!' how Dianne Feinstein's Senate Drought Relief Bill did not mandate specific pumping levels for the Delta. Congressman David Valadao responded by saying "mandated pumping levels are absolutely necessary to ensure a secure, reliable water supply to the areas most in need."
We now know from the Bureau of Reclamation's Regional Director himself that this is true. David Murillo testified yesterday in Washington D.C. that Feinstein's bill would not increase water deliveries from pumping.
When asked what operational changes would have been made in 2016 should Feinstein's drought legislation been enacted, Murillo said "It probably wouldn't change our operations."
