Never Any Consequences!

They don't guarantee the salmon runs will return if the dams are torn down. Of course not.

May 06, 2016

Environmental groups including the Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation and American Rivers sued the federal government over salmon and dams on the Snake River.  U.S. District Judge Michael H. Simon ruled the government hasn't done nearly enough to improve Northwest salmon runs.  “These efforts have already cost billions of dollars, yet they are failing,” he wrote.

So,  they've spent billions but the salmon runs haven't improved.  Sounds kind of like the California Delta where Central Valley water is taken to improve delta water quality, but it never happens.

The environmental groups say the Snake River Dams are the problem and must come down.  They don't guarantee the salmon runs will return if the dams are torn down.  Of course not.  They never do.  And what will happen if the dams come down but the salmon don't return?

Nothing.

Judge: Plan for restoring Northwest salmon runs not enough
