We Deserve Better

Oct 29, 2019

As of October 27, 2019, Northern California reservoirs are between 97-123\% of historical average and 58-81\% of capacity. The central ones are between 93-150\% of historical average and 44-84\% of capacity. Unused water, water that citizens carefully conserved all Summer long, is now being emptied from northern reservoirs to make room for the upcoming Winter's flood protection. Many farmers were shorted 25\% of their water allocations this season. They needed just a fraction of what is now being released to the Pacific Ocean, to prevent having to pump groundwater. If we don't change the leadership in Sacramento, beginning with the March 3, 2020 primaries, we will ride this state to the bottom. All 80 assembly seats, and 20/40 senate seats are up for election. We have 100 chances to change the direction of our most valuable resource, water. We deserve better.
