Cocaine in Your Salmon!
Bay area Cities are permitted to discharge over 380 Million gallons of polluted sewage water into the Bay-Delta EVERYDAY.

Scientist have found up to 81 drugs and personal care products in the flesh of salmon caught in the Puget Sound. "Some of the drugs include Prozac, Advil, Benadryl, Lipitor, and even cocaine."
People are using a lot more and a lot of different drugs today compared to the past, and wastewater treatment plants are unable to fully remove them during treatment. If you think this is a problem only for Puget Sound salmon, think again. There is no reason to believe it isn't happening in California's Bay-Delta because Governor Brown's State Water Quality Board does NOT require thorough testing and reporting of all the sewage discharged into the Delta.
Bay area Cities are permitted to discharge over 380 Million gallons of polluted sewage water into the Bay-Delta EVERYDAY. These Cities are not removing Toxic drugs and other TOXIC pollutants from their partially treated sewage water and urban runoff.
It appears Governor Browns water board is promoting “the solution to their pollution is dilution with Our Fresh Water”.
They are stealing our valley water to dilute their pollution and flush their pollution to the ocean. These pollutants are all direct impact stressors on the Delta ecosystem, probably more so than the export pumps downstream.
