Who is Ignored?

Yes. These state directors, Department of Fish and Wildlife Director Charlton Bonham, and Department of Water Resources Director Karla Nemeth, said this out loud: “California’s water operations need to support our communities while protecting our fish and wildlife."
Who is ignored from the conversation? Agriculture! You know, the stakeholders who paid to build these water projects. The ones who pick up the tab for ongoing operations and maintenance.
They went on: "Most importantly, it ensures that our state water infrastructure operates in a manner protective of fish species listed under the state’s endangered species law. It does so in many ways, including by dedicating water for delta outflows during drier periods when fish and habitat need it the most.”
What about operating it in a manner protective of the land that grows our food? How about putting water into storage for drier periods when FARMERS need it the most? They've inadvertently shown their cards, and plainly their end game does not care about ensuring necessary water to safeguard a home grown food supply.
This is such a scam. The fish they claim they are protecting have just about vanished under their care. #CaDeservesBetter
